Italian Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Ebony bindings, extended Ebony fingerboard, ...

I inlaid this rose in the fall for Paul's Elan. It seemed appropriate to have the rose loosing some of it's leaves. There is even a leaf on the tuner button.		Ebony bound arm bevel with an Everett upper bout soundport, bound in Ebony with Maple trim.		Compound radius cutaway that melts into the heel angle. 5 piece neck with matching rosewood center piece.		Koa rosette with abalone trim. This photo shows the soundport closed. Sculpted dark Brazilian Rosewood bridge.

Today I fell in love with playing the guitar all over again!!!
The Elan arrived safely and there is absolutely nothing in the world that is going to be able to wipe this grin off my face for weeks.
I love every aspect of the Elan from the smallest details to the incredible tone that this guy puts out.

German Spruce top, select Abalone bindings & cutaway bevel, Abalone and Mother of Pearl rosette, Ebony bound soundhole and fingerboard, ... The list goes on and on.		Old growth Brazilian Rosewood back with the Everett duoport adjustable sound port! (3 distinct tonal options) Old growth Koa binding trimmed in a fine green line.		The sculpted bridge matches the extended fingerboard which works with the peghead shape. Brazlian Rosewood bridge pins. This top is voiced for either DADGAD or Standard tunings.		Everett L body shape with a 12th fret body join. Scuplted neek heel. 5 piece neck with Mahogany, Koa and Ebony.

The outside speaks volumes to your building and artistic experience.
The tone is exactly (and I mean exactly) what I wanted. I love the side inlays and contrasting wood.
Everything matches so well. It is a rather eclectic guitar, but that is me all over ...

Old growth Brazilian Rosewood bound in high Flame Koa. Can you see the sculpeted Ebony Bridge and Fossilized Buffalo Horn bridge pins? (The color matches the rosette and binding.)		This is the Everett soundport. The size is tuned to the guitars shape and materials. Then after it is strung up, there is an inside baffle that is angled to the particular guitar. And last you get a cool little door for the rare occasion that you might want to close the soundport. But I bet you never use it.		1903 Red Spruce top salvaged from an old barn built in Maine. Cut by hand, drug to the mill by horse, milled using water driven tools, then add 100 years and I get to turn it into a guitar. I love my job.		#2 Peghead with a Zebrawood step. This works well with the Zebawood position markers. The fingerboard is trimmed in 14k gold!

 

My practice time has doubled since having your guitar, just because I love to hear its sound!

After taking my inlay class, Chuck cut this inlay for his own guitar.
