These are semi private classes for only 2 students at a time and held the
first Saturday and Sunday of the month .

Guitar Building : A - B - C
This class comes in 3 parts.
In a total of 6 days in the workshop, we build a guitar from wood to string tension.
During 3 consecutive months - the first weekend of the each month -
you can come and enjoy watching our class guitar take shape.

What a great opportunity to follow along in your home shop during the 3 months that we build the class guitar.

Is this class right for you?

A)
Have you been considering building a guitar?
This class will clear up a lot of your basic questions: tools, skill level, shop space, time, etc.
But perhaps more important, you will learn excellent techniques for guitar building.
This class will take months off (or perhaps it's better to say "guitars off ") your learning curve.
You will leave with the information you need to develop your skills as a guitar builder and
to be able to build a quality guitar.

B) Have you already built several kits?
Even better!
This is your chance to take your building to the next level.
You will learn about work flow, wood thickness, voicing, bending sides, building using - jigs, molds, and forms.
You will be able to clear up problems in your guitars and break bad habits.
Maybe you just need a 'refresher course'

in order to clear up some technique issues.
After this course you will go home inspired and with the information that
you need in order to build a great guitar.

C) Are you a pro?
I have had many established guitar builders take this course in order to help stream-line their own process.
Due to the small class size , it is easy for me to address the individual's concerns as we work through the process.
In the same class, I have had a student who built 300 guitars along side a student working on his first guitar.
(After that class, I actually heard from both who told me the class , process, and info were fantastic.)

$985 - 6 days total
(The first Saturday and Sunday of the month - 3 consecutive months.)

"I have had many students take this class two and three times.

It's fun.

But more important, as the student's skill level increases,
so does the amount of (and kind of ) information they absorb.
It is a great way to get your feet wet before investing a lot of money or
even better to polish your existing skills.

Good information is simply good information - no matter how you use it."

And I got to be part of this one being built ... so how could I say no?"

a lot of information in a short amount of time.

Private Consultation:
I'm happy to advise you with your building project.
Often guitar builders will make monthly appointments.
Please keep in mind I have a busy schedule,
so we need to plan in advance for your instruction.

$85 an hour for private workshop consultation

Guitar Critique:

The best way to improve is to get real advice about your guitar building progress.
You can make an appointment to send your guitar to the workshop.

Then I will spend one hour examining your instrument inside and out.
After that, I spend at least 15 minutes playing the guitar in several different styles.
All this in order to give you a serious critique concerning the instrument's
play-ability , fit and finish , tone , sustain , volume , construction quality ,
areas for improvement , ... and marketability.

This is a "gloves off" critique and intended to give you real information and
real guidance for your work. $85 flat fee - shipping not included.

- Please note -
Any guitar sent without a prior appointment will be returned to sender.

I do not want to have to do that, so make sure to make an appointment
before shipping your guitar to the Everett workshop.
